Apologies for missing last week’s newsletter send. As you know, Mrs R and I were in Iceland to celebrate our (belated) 10-year anniversary.
What can I say, except that if you haven’t been to the Arctic or close, then you are missing out. Absolutely stunning place. We were exceptionally lucky to see the Northern Lights on our first night there. Check out the video:

Now, onto my latest poll. And this one was interesting.
As you may know, OpenAI has released its Plus version of chatGPT at a subscription price of $20 per month. I upgraded as I tend to lose connectivity in the afternoons once the USA wakes up. I’ve not had any issues since and the output response has definitely sped up. But I was interested in understanding what the sentiment was for upgrading within my network. And it was pretty clear-cut. Over half not planning on upgrading and almost 20% don’t use it.
If we extrapolate that out to my LinkedIn network (12k connections) then we’re looking at ~2500 not using it and ~3,000 paying for the Plus version. So in my network alone you’re looking at $60k of monthly revenue alone. Not bad openAI, not bad at all.
